She knows firsthand what it takes to move challenging projects from concept to reality: securing investment, navigating complex approvals, and building the strong partnerships that deliver results. Jami will apply this direct, hands-on experience to transform vacant properties into affordable housing, thriving local businesses, and community spaces.

To revitalize our neighborhoods, Jami will:
  • Champion Community-Driven Development: Forge strong partnerships with residents, neighborhood associations, and responsible developers to ensure all revitalization projects align with the community’s vision and deliver real benefits.
  • Smart Policy Reform: Modernize outdated zoning codes and land use policies to encourage innovative, sustainable development, making it easier to transform empty or underutilized St. Louis properties into the assets our communities deserve while respecting our historic neighborhoods.
  • Secure Investment for Revitalization: Actively work to attract diverse funding sources to support the development of affordable and market-rate housing, help local entrepreneurs, and create community amenities on vacant land.
  • Streamline City Processes for Development: Cut unnecessary red tape and simplify city approval processes to make it easier and faster for responsible housing and commercial projects to move forward on empty or underutilized properties.
Safer Streets
As a mother raising her family in St. Louis, Jami believes every resident deserves to feel safe—walking our sidewalks, driving our roads, or playing in local parks. Her commitment to public safety is deeply personal, rooted in her experience pioneering youth-police dialogues. Jami understands lasting safety requires more than reacting to crime. It means proactively addressing root causes like decay and disinvestment, and building strong community-police partnerships. Her collaborative leadership will build a safer, more secure 8th Ward for everyone.

To make the 8th Ward safer for every resident, Jami will:
  • Invest in Neighborhood Prevention: Champion improved street lighting, traffic calming for safer roads, and programs addressing crime’s root causes through expanded opportunity and revitalized public spaces.
  • Foster Collaborative Safety Solutions: Foster neighborhood-led safety initiatives, strengthening partnerships with residents, community groups, and police for responsive strategies that build mutual trust.
  • Support Youth & Violence Interruption: Expand and champion community youth engagement and proven violence interruption programs offering positive alternatives, mentorship, and ways to break cycles of conflict.
A City That Works
Jami understands that for St. Louis to thrive, city services must be reliable, efficient, and accessible for all residents. She shares the frustration when basics like trash pickup feel like a luxury, or navigating city processes is a bureaucratic maze. With her public policy background and project management experience, Jami is ready to drive systemic reform. She’s committed to a responsive city government that delivers the quality services all St. Louisans deserve.

To build A City that Works, Jami will:
  • Modernize City Departments: Conduct thorough reviews to cut unnecessary red tape, overhaul outdated processes, and champion smart technology, making city services more efficient, accessible, and responsive.
  • Ensure Equitable Service Delivery Across All Neighborhoods: Fight for fair resource allocation and consistent service standards, ensuring every neighborhood receives timely, quality city services and infrastructure maintenance.
Getting St. Louis Moving
As an 8th Ward mom, Jami shares the frustration of seeing our basic infrastructure fail while other cities leap forward. Enough is Enough. "Business as usual" is broken, and St. Louis demands real action, not more empty promises. She will drive the smart, strategic investments needed to fix what’s broken and ensure our infrastructure truly serves every neighborhood.

To get St. Louis moving, Jami will:
  • Attack Crumbling Infrastructure: Jami’s Top Priority is to attack the backlog of crumbling St. Louis roads, bridges, and water systems with an urgent, data-driven, and equitable repair plan. She will hold our new Department of Transportation to the highest standards, ensuring they deliver efficient, transparent results and that critical investments reach every 8th Ward neighborhood.
  • End the Pedestrian Safety Crisis: Jami will fast-track proven traffic calming and complete street designs that protect our children, seniors, walkers, and cyclists across the 8th Ward.
  • Deliver Reliable Transit: Jami will secure the investment to deliver truly reliable, frequent, and safe public transit for every rider.
